Indian cricket team head coach and former captain Rahul Dravid celebrated his 50th birthday with members of the Indian team. A small cake-cutting ceremony was also held once the team landed in Kolkata.A cake was waiting for Dravid when the Indian team checked into their Kolkata hotel. This is the same Kolkata where Dravid formed a record partnership with his VVS Laxman and where India defeated Australia in a Test match played in Kolkata 23 years ago. Dravid cut the cake and the players and support staff clapped and sang his birthday song, but Ishan Kishan’s applause could have ruined Dravid’s moment.

BCCI shared a video of Dravid cutting the cake. As he did so, Ishan’s hand hit the handle of a suitcase stored beside him and began making his way towards the table where the cake was kept, holding the team’s batting coach Vikram Rathor. was , if I hadn’t stopped it, I might have crashed into the table and knocked over the cake.

India will face Sri Lanka in the second ODI on Thursday (12 January) at Eden Gardens in Kolkata. Team India are already leading 1-0 in his three-game series. India defeated Sri Lanka by 67 runs in the first ODI to go 1-0 in the series. The win was set up by captain Rohit Sharma and former skipper Virat Kohli. Their good knocks and contributions from others saw India take him 373 for 7 in 50 overs.
Chasing the target, the Lankans were 67 runs short. Sri Lankan skipper Dasun his Shanaka hit his 108th out of 88 unbeaten pitches but no one really stepped up aside from him and Pathum his Nissanka who hit out his 72 pitches. None of them made a significant contribution with the bat. .
