true blood Season 5 is coming to a close and all of us here at Celebrity Dirty Laundry couldn’t be more sad. The season was full of crazy, blood-sucking action. One of his highlights of the season was Russell Edgington, a badass vamp in a constant quest to see the sun again. It’s one of the real Russell’s Bontang baddest villains, and while you don’t want to see him wipe out a clan of fairies that make fun of the magic strip, his motivations are quite beautiful in some ways.
Last episode saw Russell defeat the Fairy Elder once and for all. Fairy Elder was one of my favorite minor his characters the show has ever brought. Thinking bluntly or clearly, it added quirkiness and charm to the episode. suki stack house Appearing before her to get an answer about the vampires trying to eat her, she struggled to get a coherent answer.
“Ke$ha: Agree or disagree?” She asked Sookie, who seemed unfamiliar with our girl Kesha. “She really doesn’t sing, does she? She talks. I think that’s what makes her a poet of sorts. This is amazing. Her spelling is terrible!” The fairy elder answers Sookie’s dumbfounded voice. “Boys to Men: For or Against? John Mellencamp: For or Against?” This playful banter continued for some time until Jason stormed into Fairy Party Central claiming that Russell was alive and well and had gone to eat Sookie.
Eventually, the fairy elder agreed to help Sookie defeat Russell. But she made a big mistake. Seriously. seriously. When she was dueling Russell, she shot him twice with her fairy powers, but missed both times. In her first attempt, she unintentionally attacked Jason with her fairy powers (interesting to see what happens to him in the next episode). dodged the fairy power attack. Russell then completely drained her, absorbing some of her fairy powers in the process. Rubbish. Rubbish. Vampires making a fuss with the power of fairies? No good. No, not at all.
Russell has a bit of fairy power in his system, so he has an unnatural connection to the rest of the fairy clan. You can see their secret fairy strip club being there and do nothing to reach them.
Will the fairies put up a decent fight? Will Russell be able to obliterate this magical race once and for all? Will Sookie’s own fairy powers save the day? Tell me what you think!
It will be interesting to see if they close out this season by destroying the main villain, like they did with Maryann (the crazy sex-loving Maenad) and Marnie. so I’m betting on the fact that they won’t bet him just yet. If Russell succeeds in his plan, he will give his newly acquired daytime walking ability to other vampires. We will try to find a way to pass it on (perhaps creating offspring born with an innate diurnal walking ability).
