Surprise birthday party held for 100-year-old WWII veteran in New Albany
A surprise birthday party was held Tuesday for World War II veterans at the Green Valley Care Center in New Albany. Ralph Voss turned 100 over the weekend and was honored by his family, friends, city and military on Tuesday. Mr Voss said. “It’s hard to believe I’ve turned 100. 100,” said Voss.The new Albany Mayor Jeff Gahan was on hand to present the proclamation to Voss, and the VFW presented him with a flag on behalf of the United States Army.

Ralph Voss turned 100 over the weekend and was honored by family, friends, the city and the military on Tuesday.
Voss said he was completely blown away by the party and that reaching the milestone was unrealistic.
“It’s hard to believe I’m 100. As you can imagine, I’ve seen so much, and being 100 feels surreal.” said Voss.
