A New Orleans bakery was tasked with making sweet treats for Taylor Swift’s birthday.
The “All to Well” singer turned 33 on December 13th and celebrated her birthday with the help of Bywater Bakery.
Alton Osborne and Chaya Conrad’s store representatives told PEOPLE that the request for the cake on Monday night was an “unexpected delight” for the bakery. to prepare the cake, so the baker got to work immediately.
“We were given the freedom and license to create flavor combinations for her. Our only direction was to make it special.
The end result was a two-tiered cake consisting of a chai-soaked chocolate cake with chocolate ganache and caramel on the bottom layer.
For the decor, they took inspiration from Swift’s ‘Persona’ and her 2022 album midnightparticularly in the song “Lavender Haze” and in an Instagram post called the dessert “Lavender Haze Surprise”.
The cake was decorated with marbled buttercream in shades of purple, pink, and orange. In addition, the baker used fresh orchids, stargazer he lilies, and other flowers.
The “Love Story” songstress shared a photo of herself and Grammy-winning producer Jack Antonoff hanging out together in the music studio on their special day.
“Thank you for all the beautiful wishes today!!” she wrote in her Instagram caption.
In the photo, Swift can be seen sitting on the wooden floor with a double bass in her lap, with both hands holding up three fingers to mark the milestone of her 33rd birthday.
