1. Celebrate with the British: receive live streams from another time zone

If your child isn’t into Ryan Seacrest or the big city live countdown, cue their favorite character and keep it simple. Netflix has a selection of character-driven New Year’s countdowns filled with confetti, fun fireworks, and notable kids favorites like Boss Baby and Spirit the horse.

3. Build a photo booth: Get a photo backdrop and props
You can keep it simple for a cute, customizable backdrop by purchasing rolls of kraft paper that kids can decorate with glitter, shimmering pom-poms, and gold lettering. You can kick it up a notch with backdrops and New Year’s Eve photo props.

4. Noon Party: Have a mock midnight
For small children, there is a warm memory of the celebration of “Noon New Year’s Eve” just before nap time. For older kids, we’re fans of the “it’s midnight somewhere” approach. Both are perfect for a children’s New Year’s Eve party celebration.
