minnie mouse birthday party ideas
I’ve been surprised by how hard it is to find a red Minnie Mouse these days. I love pink Minnie, but I wanted a classic color for this party. So I decided to DIY Minnie Mouse party decorations using red and white polka dots with black and yellow accents and a simple Minnie and Mickey silhouette.
Minnie Mouse Birthday Party Invitation
To help plan the party, we also designed Minnie Mouse birthday party invitations.
Minnie Mouse birthday decorations
From the moment guests arrived, they were greeted by Minnie and Mickey decorated with “Come inside, it’s fun inside.”
I used cricuts to make paper Minnie and Mickey heads and words. Unfortunately, we no longer make Mickey and Friends cartridges, but you can find them on eBay.
Even though I didn’t buy it for a party, the doormat fits the party theme perfectly. I bought it on Etsy here.
Red polka dot scrapbook paper and Mickey silhouette transformed my gallery wall. I didn’t even take a picture from the wall, just tapped the paper right over the glass.
I used double sided tape to add ears and bows to the black lanterns hanging in the bar area.
A large Minnie head was carefully cut out of a black foam board. I made a large make shift compass using two pencils, a paper clip and some string to draw a circle. Then I cut it out with a Zakuto blade. The core foam was white, so I painted the edges with acrylic paint to hide it.

minnie mouse party favors
I originally planned to make Minnie Mouse ears using the Minnie Mouse ear template I made for my eldest daughter’s birthday. When I found cheap ears, I decided to buy some Minnie Mouse ear party favors. with a red ribbon (Here), pink bow (Here) or Mickey and Minnie Mouse (Here).
Minnie’s ear holders are rolls of cloth-covered paper towels with the ends tucked into tubes. A super easy way to display mouse ears.
Note – I still have some DIY Minnie Mouse ears that I made for my oldest’s birthday 9 years ago. They still play and hold up well. It will probably last longer than the one I bought.
I’ve never made Minnie Mouse ears before, so I decided to make a Minnie Mouse bracelet. My daughter loves necklaces and bracelets so they were the perfect party favors for her and her friends. After much discussion I purchased the perfect red, black and yellow beads Etsy.
The bracelets were a hit and my birthday girl wanted two so luckily I made an extra one.

Mickey and Minnie Mouse food
There are so many cute things you can do with Minnie Mouse party themed food. Mickey Mouse’s cookie cutters (here) let you turn lunch his meats, cookies, rice crispy treats and more into cute themed foods.
Disney is celebrating Mickey Mouse’s 90th birthday this year, so Target has several Mickey Mouse-shaped snacks, including Mickey Mouse Veggie Chips and Mickey Mouse Goldfish (I call them Gooey Fish). I was able to find it.
For lunch, we served mini hot digity dogs, popcorn chicken, and fruit kebabs cut and skewered like Minnie Mouse bows.
The homemade Mickey and Minnie Mouse Oreos and Mickey and Minnie Mouse cupcakes in the desert were the perfect finishing touches.

minnie mouse birthday outfit
I was looking for the perfect Minnie Mouse birthday outfit and I found it! I found Mr. P’s dress here. I found the same dress on Amazon in a different color combination for a little less, but I had my heart set on the color combination, so I paid more for the black and red version. It’s very long, and you’re right. I secured the straps safely in the back for the party, but you didn’t see it.
Of course, the day of her party was unusually cold. So while the dress itself was adorable, it was too cold. After further discussion, I found a white lace ruffled bodysuit on Amazon.
Let’s talk about her little shoes. very cute! They are mini replicas of her Melissa shoes from the same place I bought her dress (here). They were about 2 sizes too big for her but she didn’t mind, she loved her shoes. Here are similar shoes.
Our daughter’s Minnie Mouse birthday party was a huge success. For our little girl who loves bows and shoes, Minnie was the perfect way to celebrate her 2nd birthday. He kept pointing out Minnie and Mickey to everyone. she had a great day.
