It’s not the “last song”, but it might be the last laugh.
Miley Cyrus, 30, has confirmed that she will be releasing a new single titled “Flowers” on January 13th.
Fans are excited about this announcement, but their excitement isn’t just about the new music.
People quickly realized that the release date happened to be her ex-husband Liam Hemsworth’s 33rd birthday.
“Can love me better, I can love me better, baby / Can love me better, I can love me better, baby / Can love me better,” Cyrus sings in a short promo clip. “Yes, I can love you more than I do.”

Cyrus and Hemsworth met in 2009 while filming “The Last Song” in Savannah, Georgia.
The two fell in love and dated on and off for nearly a decade. The two first announced their engagement in 2012 before breaking up in 2013 when Cyrus released “Wrecking Ball” on the Bangerz album, alluding to problems in their relationship.
Cyrus and Hemsworth reunited in 2015 and finally tied the knot in 2018 in a small ceremony at their home surrounded by family. split in late 2019, and Cyrus later called their marriage “a disaster for kings.”
Rumors of cheating and drug use swirled around their divorce.
They’ve lost it on social media after Cyrus’ recent announcement.
“It’s all about Miley dropping a new album on Liam’s birthday….the ad campaign I love you more than you can..is an icon,” one person said.
“Miley is telling the world that she could love herself more on Liam’s birthday?! She definitely wasn’t lying when she said she was nervous,” said another. One said, dropped another name for her song from the “Hannah Montana” days.

The “New Year, New Miley” campaign will kick off when the singer rings in NBC’s second televised New Year’s Eve special in 2023.
Cyrus co-hosted the event alongside godmother and music legend Dolly Parton, 76, and was joined on stage by musical guests Paris Hilton, Sia, David Byrne, and Fletcher.
