On Thursday, the Lancaster County Air Force Veterans Celebration was held. Harry Dyer is celebrating his 102nd birthday. A surprise birthday party was held for him at Reems Nursing Home. Fellow residents, firefighters and other community members came to celebrate. “Oh, I was amazed that there was such a big party! I was very, very surprised. Thank you for coming,” said Harry. Rep. Tom Jones presented Harry with a certificate from the state legislature. Harry also received a blanket from the Blankets of Honor group. The organizers also had a goal of getting 102 people to send them birthday cards, but Harry got his 150.
