Coney Island’s Luna Park hosts air-conditioned competitions. A giant new playground for kids has opened in Brooklyn.
National chain Urban Air Adventure Park opened its first store in New York City on New Year’s Eve, and the 40,000-square-foot venue was an instant hit. (By the way, New Jersey now has six.)
“We wanted to bring family fun to Sunset Park,” owner and Bronx native Michael Kallewitz told PIX11 of his sprawling fun home. The latest addition to his nationwide chain of more than 175 stores opened on December 31st, drawing long lines. That popularity was no doubt fueled by a steep discount on the annual fee for his first 200 guests. However, initial reports were still very positive.
“I think LEDs are beautiful and amazing,” the 8-year-old told PIX11, adding that “the rides are so much fun.”
Tiered entry starts at $43.99 for Deluxe ticket holders and goes up to $53.99 for Platinum tickets. A 50% off “parent-child pass” is also available.




Attractions include trampolines, bumper cars, virtual reality, ropes courses and climbing hills. There are also various group activity-based amusements. This includes a “battle beam” where kids fight each other with foam bars atop a plush pit.
According to its website, the playspace is branded as “the ultimate indoor adventure park and family fun destination” and that “our park has attractions perfect for all ages. , offers the perfect destination for unforgettable children’s birthday parties, special events and family fun.”
