“I use it for my daughter’s Christmas and birthdays,” Amy said in the video.
“But also at her friend’s birthday party.”
Amy said her daughter was heading to her birthday party when she made the video with the caption, ‘My daughter’s friend is turning 3!
She showed off one of the toys she said she would give to her daughter’s friend.

It was a Crayola branded Scribble Scrubbie Seashell Splash toy.
The price tag was originally $16.24, but she bought it for $2.
The same toy is listed on Amazon, Walmart and Target for about $15.
“She’s also going to give this reusable Melissa and Doug sticker pad to a friend,” Amy said.
“These were originally both $5, but I bought them at Walmart for $1 each.”
Amy said that if she paid full price for the same toy, she would hand over a total of $26.24.
“But I paid just $4 for all of them,” she said.
She said she used the wrapping paper she already had to save even more on the gift.
Amy’s videos have been viewed nearly 6,000 times and have been liked more than 350 times.
Several other parents commented on the video, similarly saving money on gifts for their children or using them when their children were little.
“I did this when my kids were little.
“Don’t feel rushed to pick up presents for the party. There was always something in the closet,” one person commented.
Amy replied, “Yes, not having to run to the store is a big plus!”
Someone else said: “Yeah, I do the same!”

“I’m doing this, but my kids won’t be invited to the party, so I’m using the leftover toys to donate Christmas toys to children in need.
