Balm Dotcom was one of Glossier’s first products and may be its most widely loved. Juicy skincare and makeup lip products are packed with nostalgic flavors, from birthday cake to mango, that make applying lip balm just a little bit more fun.
However, times are changing, so Balm Dotcom is doing a Gen Z rebrand (sorry, Millennial Pink). The all-purpose balm is now petrolatum-free and a vegan formula with castor bean jelly that provides the same sealing barrier without being greasy.
On top of castor jelly, as nourishing as the original, the new formula contains synthetic beeswax, vitamin E for hydration, and a natural emollient blend (as opposed to non-vegan lanolin). Unlike the original formula, the new and improved balm dot com does not leave a slippery feeling on the lips. Instead, the waxy texture stays in place, locking in moisture for smooth lips.
Balm Dotcom’s iconic packaging has also been significantly upgraded. Comes with an applicator his tip for fingerless application. Plus, the twist cap has been redesigned to lock, so you won’t spill balm in your bag or pocket.
The new Balm Dotcom comes in nine flavors, including Wild Fig, an older limited edition shade that Glossier has added to its permanent lineup. Glossier has discontinued the beloved cherry flavor, but you can still expect fan-favorite flavors like rose, barely pink, and cool mint.
Glossier’s new Balm Dotcom is available now for $14 at glossier.com.
