LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) – Saturday, January 7th is Andrea Knabel’s birthday.
The Louisville mother has been missing since August 2019.
Knabel was also a Missing in America volunteer. She was last seen walking between her family’s homes in Audubon Park. Her phone records show that she arrived at her mother’s house at around 2:00 a.m., but she left the area immediately.
Her father, Michael Navel, said the incident was not cool. .
“We feel it’s more likely that she walked away and someone picked her up.” We just don’t know who did it. I don’t know if I did.”
Knabel did the unique job of building a search team. He said he was still revisiting certain sites.
They’re not just looking for Andrea. Her sister Erin now runs social media pages for other missing persons across Kentucky and Indiana.
“There are bright spots, and they should be celebrated,” said Knabel. “Even coming out of such a dark situation, people are hopeful and growing. I am thinking.”
The family will celebrate Andrea’s birthday by attending mass at 4:00 pm Saturday at St. Stephen’s Martyrs’ Church.
People can follow Andrea’s story and send tips from the family’s Facebook page.
