Michael Schumacher turned 54 yesterday. While his family is very secretive about how he’s doing after his horrific skiing accident nine years ago, the Formula 1 world is remembering some of his greatest achievements.
Mercedes posted on Instagram:
“It’s hard to pick a favorite because there are so many incredible moments…Tell me what you remember when you think of Michael.”
As one F1 fan commented:
“Ferrari’s Suzuka 2000. Or Mercedes’ Monaco 2012… it could have been more pole!”
Another follower replied:
“On the track, if he’s talking about his Mercedes-Benz days, it’s easily his pole lap at Monaco in 2012. Off the track, Nico’s microphone at the 2012 German Grand Prix press conference. would be plotting with Seb to mess with the ‘meeting. “
Ferrari also posted a similar message on Instagram. they wrote:
“We are so lucky to have so many options to choose from. Tell us about your iconic @MichaelSchumacher moment.”

One Ferrari fan said he chose Schumacher for his last race with the team in 2006.
“There are many memorable Schumacher races, but the last one, Brazil in 2006, was incredible. I overtook and didn’t overtake.”
Another fan covered Malaysia 2001. they wrote:
“Suzuka in 2000…Malaysia and Shumi in 2001 with monsoon rains [Schumacher] Barrichello turned off, but it still ended 1-2…”
Formula 1 took to Twitter with a video of the seven-time champion racing in Monaco.
“Enjoy Michael Schumacher’s Monaco Magic on his 54th birthday.”
Another fan wrote on Twitter:
“Few people have had a greater influence on my childhood than Michael Schumacher. For as long as I can remember, he has been my idol. A force of nature, a once-in-a-lifetime phenomenon. Keep fighting, Michael, everyone wants to see you.”
Schumacher’s son Mick also posted a birthday post for his father on Instagram, melting fans’ hearts.
