The family was devastated after two soft play centers in Lanarkshire closed due to “serious health and safety violations”.
Bouncestation and Lollipop Land at Playsport in East Kilbride closed unexpectedly this week.

Two indoor playgrounds share the same warehouse space and sit back to back in the town of South Lanarkshire.
It is understood that they were forced to close their doors after “serious violations of health and safety were recorded.”
Social media suggested that “the landlord immediately shut down both businesses.”
Both soft play centers shared the news on Facebook and customers were devastated.


Families are confused and afraid of future bookings, bookings and vouchers.
One of our customers, Yvonne Posselwhite, revealed that she received a refund today after her group booking at Bouncestation this week was cancelled.
She arranged a group reservation for my son’s birthday on Friday.
Yvonne added, “Sorry to the staff.”
In a statement, Playsport Scotland said the health and safety of their customers is “of utmost importance”, especially with the large number of young children who frequent their premises.
A spokesperson said: “PlaySport is an iconic location in the Lanarkshire community with established facilities for golf, football, swimming and fitness, including plans for a new home for Scotland’s Caledonian Gladiators. We invest heavily to bring great value to locals.The only professional basketball club.
“Needless to say, many young children regularly participate in our activities, so the safety of our staff and guests is our top priority.
“We do not tolerate unsafe practices. All remaining tenants have been asked by the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service and South Lanarkshire Council to ensure compliance with the stringent requirements necessary to ensure a safe environment. We understand the need to work closely with our building management.
“With the exception of Lollipop Land and Bounce Station, PlaySport remains fully open and ready to welcome visitors. Further development plans are fully underway and will be announced shortly.
“It’s a great time for sport and leisure in the East Kilbride community.”
Yesterday afternoon, Bounce Station posted on social media: “Unfortunately, due to circumstances beyond our control, we have to close our doors today.
“All customers with existing reservations will be contacted within the next few days.
“See you soon.”
In their comments, they added: “For clarity, the reason for the closure was due to a landlord issue beyond our control and all bookings will be fully refunded. .
“I apologize for the inconvenience. We are as devastated as you are.”
Lollipop Land also posted on Facebook.
“Lollipop Land will be closed today, January 9, 2023 (Monday).
“Lollipop Land will be moving to a new facility in the near future and we will let you know the location as soon as possible.
“We will announce future updates on our Facebook page.
“We will be contacting all customers with birthday party reservations to refund their deposits.
“We apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for your support during this transition.
“It’s heartbreaking that we were forced to close.
“We value our staff and loyal customers who have supported us throughout.”
Fans of both centers shared their dismay at the news.
One person said, “Oh, sorry to hear that. My son loved it.”
Another said, “I’m pissed off at all the staff! My kids are pissed off – love this place!”
As someone else wrote:
A fourth chime rang out: “Oh, that’s a shame!!”
And the fifth post read, “Sorry to hear this. My kids were also given vouchers for Christmas. I hope you guys can sort something out.”


Lollipop Land declined to comment after being approached by The Scottish Sun.
