Reporter: On the table set up for Fred, there were a dozen donuts with his picture printed inside. Other presences include Duncan Gifts His Cards, 95. one for each year of his life. >>I’m kidding. >> Each one is different. >> God, I am rich. Reporter: Of course there is also cake. The surprise left Fred in disbelief and other gratitude. — Thank you very much.

Fred Brown, known to many as Uncle Fred, has been on that walk for about 40 years. I moved to Lynn, ever since,” he said. “My wife was working for General Electric when I got out of the Air Force, so we got married and moved to Lynn, and we’ve been here ever since,” he said.
When it came time to buy donuts on Thursday, Brown walked to Lynn’s favorite spot on Lewis Street. A surprise awaited him there.
Manager Daniela Krause and other team members knew it was Brown’s 95th birthday. They had a Dunkin’ mascot greet him at the restaurant door, and then they led Brown to the table they had reserved for him.
On the table was a box of 12 donuts with Brown’s picture printed on them and a box of 95 gift cards.
“Oh my god,” said Brown, looking at the pile of gift cards. “I am rich.”
And although anyone from New England would know it’s not usually on the menu, there was also a birthday cake.
