DIY New Year’s Eve Party Ideas from Adeina Anderson

You don’t have to break the bank when planning a New Year’s Eve party. You can reuse leftover Christmas decorations you already have to create beautiful decorations. Check out the ideas below and as always, don’t forget to get creative and have fun!

2023 Table decoration

Required items

• Gold, black and white acrylic paint
• deco page
• 4 mason jars
• gold and black glitter
• sponge brush
• gold or silver placemats
• gold or silver tissue paper
• leftover christmas bags, gold, silver or white
• wooden numbers 2023
• Christmas floral picks in gold, white and black (anything with glitter is great)

for decorative jars

1. Paint two of the mason jars black and two gold.
2. The paint should be applied in 2-3 coats and should be allowed to dry for at least 20 minutes.
3. Next, I painted the top ring of the jar with decopage and covered it with glitter, applying black glitter to the black ball jar and gold glitter to the gold jar.
4. Let it dry overnight and then stuff it with flowers or decorative straws.

About the numbers for 2023

1. Paint the letters with gold or silver paint.
2. Next, apply decopage to each letter and cover it with glitter of the same color.
3. Let dry overnight and enjoy decorating your home or table.

decorate with gift bags

1. Fill gold, silver, black and white gift bags of various sizes with matching tissue paper.
2. Glitter gift bags are very effective.
3. Decorate your table or fireplace with a bag.
4. Add a touch by adding placemats, flameless candles, and glitter numbers.

Create a fun photo booth

Required items

• poster board
• Acrylic paint – black & gold
• deco page
• Glitter – Black & Gold
• sponge brush
• scissors
• dowel stick

1. I used sunglasses, a champagne glass and a champagne bottle and traced them onto a poster board to create a template.
2. You can also freehand the bow tie, mustache and lips onto the poster board.
3. Cut out all items.
4. Paint the item black, but leave certain areas empty so you can paint those areas gold.
5. Paint the empty area on the appropriate layer of decopage.
6. Put gold glitter on the decopage part.
7. Let them dry overnight, then hot glue the dowel sticks to the back of the item.
