Dina Bonevie celebrated her birthday on Friday, January 27, and after blowing out the candles on the cake, thanked the waiter who carried the cake and told guests, “Cakes are meant to be eaten and put on other people’s faces. It reminded me that I shouldn’t wear it.”
The actress standing in front of guests with her waiter was captured in a video shared on his TikTok page on Friday by renowned makeup artist Astrud Gil Rontoc.
“Kitapapahilan cake in Hindi. Magpapasalamat ako sa iyo,” Bonnevie told the server after blowing out the candles. (Do not pollute [icing] you. Instead, I thank you. )
“Cakes are meant to be eaten and should not be pasted on other people’s faces,” she continued.
Bonnevi didn’t explicitly state the context behind her remarks, but netizens “threw shade” at Alex Gonzaga, who recently made headlines after the veteran actress smeared icing on a waiter’s face. I guessed.

A netizen also covered Bonnevi’s 2018 interview in the comments section, recalling that he confronted an unnamed actress who repeatedly came late during the taping. The netizen seems to have concluded that she was referring to Gonzaga, who Bonnevy co-starred with the veteran actress in her 2011 TV series “PS I Love You.”
Meanwhile, Gonzaga recalled in a December vlog how she was traumatized after an older celebrity yelled at her during a taping. Both Bonnevie and Gonzaga have yet to reveal who the celebrity they were referring to is, at the time of writing.
