A new restaurant will open in Destin in 2022, serving everything from seafood to pizza.
If you haven’t had a chance to check them out yet, here’s what some of them have to offer.
Lone Wolf Pizza Co
A unique pizzeria, Lone Wolf Pizza Company is located in Destin on the site of the old Mellow Mushroom at 960 US 98, across from the Big Kahuna Water Park and Adventure Park.
Lone Wolf owner Janice Snow was given the nickname Wolf by Brant Goodman, the previous owner of Mellow Mushroom, and decided to take over and run the business under that name.
All of Lone Wolf’s pizzas are hand-tossed, the dough is local, and you can sometimes see the chefs flying through the air while they prepare the pies.
Most of the topping vegetables are also locally grown.
As for the pies themselves, most of the signature pizzas on the menu were wolf-themed and made by the staff.

Featuring chicken, provolone, mozzarella, goat cheese, onions, artichokes, olive oil and a fresh garlic base, Snow Moon Pizza is Snow’s creation.
Other pizzas include Hunter’s Moon, a pepperoni, sausage, beef, ham, and bacon pizza, and Full Moon Pizza, which includes meat with onions, mushrooms, peppers, and black olives.
Lone Wolf uses prosciutto, pineapple, goat cheese, jalapenos, and mozzarella.
Opened in April, the restaurant is open Wednesday through Sunday from 11:30 AM to 8:30 PM.

Popular Tennessee-based restaurant Party Fowl, known for its famous Nashville Hot Chicken, opened in April in Destin Commons across from Bass Pro Shops.

Party Foul is open seven days a week from 10am to 10pm. Early bird specials are available from 10am to noon. Happy Hour is from 2pm to 5pm, then 9pm to close.
Soleil
Soleil opened at The Inn at Crystal Beach in May by owners Bert and Micah Begley.
The restaurant is designed around stunning views from the beachfront patio, bar and dining room, creating a warm and upscale atmosphere.
The new beachfront dining experience is headed by celebrity chef and sommelier Michael Sichel.

A native of New York, Sichel grew up steeped in his Italian roots in ingredients, traditions and home cooking. Soleil is open for lunch from 11am to 3pm and dinner from 5pm Tuesday to Saturday. Sunday brunch is from 11am to 3:15pm.
ruby slippers
Ruby Slippers, located at 34902 Emerald Coast Parkway near Crystal Beach Plaza Shopping Center, opened in May.

The Edge Seafood Restaurant and Skybar
The Edge Seafood Restaurant and Skybar, located in Destin Harbor next to the Boathouse Oyster Bar, opened in May.
Owned by locals Heather and Chris Thomas, The Edge is right on the water, open and spacious with stunning views of the harbor and beyond.
Upstairs is a fire pit, surrounded by patio seating and sections, giving it a more “laid-back” feel, Heather said. High-top tables and chairs, bar and other tables, upstairs There is also a dining area.

The restaurant downstairs seats approximately 128, with another 128 more seats upstairs.
When it comes to dining, it’s Florida-style al fresco dining on the water.
The menu is small, but offers fresh local seafood and produce. Specialties on the menu include ceviche, conch fritters, whole sea bream, and parchment grouper. The menu also includes jerk his chicken, filet, shrimp or oyster po’ boys, salads and sandwiches.
One of the things that makes The Edge unique is the tables, bar and counter. They are all made of lanes from a bowling alley in Georgia.
big red cafe
Located in the old silvery Destin Diner on the corner of US 98 and Airport Road, Big Red Café opened last summer.
Owned by Casey and Jami Jones, Big Red Café is a spin-off of Big Red Truck. The Jones’s he started the Big Red Truck in 2014 and has installed it in various locations around town serving fish, shrimp and chicken tacos, grilled lettuce wedges and burgers.

The cafe is open from 7 AM to 2 PM and serves breakfast all day. Breakfast options include omelets, avocado toast, patty melts, shrimp and grits, breakfast bowls, waffle burgers, and short stacks of pancakes. From 11 AM to 2 PM, you can order a lunch menu that includes burgers, Philly cheesesteak sandwiches, grilled lettuce, tacos, soups, salads, and red plate specials.
Lady Ray’s Culinary Delight
Lady Ray’s Culinary Delights is located just west of Target at 833 Harbor Boulevard in Destin.
Lady Ray’s offers everything from cakes to croissants to ‘sweets and savory’.
Lady Ray’s, which opened Memorial Weekend, is a joint venture of Rachel and her brother Tim Vondel.
Cafe Front is open Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 7 AM to 2 PM. However, they do custom orders throughout the week, from cakes to sandwich platters.

From croissants and cupcakes to avocado toast, everything is included in the all-day menu.
Lady Ray is known for her Croque Monsier. Croque monsier is sourdough topped with ham and cheese and topped with melted Swiss cheese.

Lady Ray’s delivers from Destin Bridge to Clyde B. Wells 331 Bridge in Walton County.

Fish On opened in September at the former Callahan’s Restaurant and Deli site at 791 Harbor Blvd. at Destin.
The restaurant is the venture of Billy Dee, chef Giovanni Filippone and Jerry Zick.

Panda Express opened at 34898 Emerald Coast Parkway in October.
Panda Express offers a fresh, flavorful combination of Chinese regional cuisine and techniques with bold American flair.
The chain restaurant is open Sunday through Thursday from 10:30 AM to 9:30 PM and Friday and Saturday from 10:30 AM to 10:00 PM.
