The Melbourne mom shared an incredible Bluey-themed birthday party for her son Leon’s first birthday party.
Calling it a “ONEderland” party, Mom decorated the space with a custom balloon garland (orange and blue of course), a Bluey cake, custom candy boxes for each child, cake pops, sugar cookies, and more.
She also arranged life-size cutouts of the show’s characters and decorated the room with colored streamers and stuffed animals.
Her mother, Sabina, who shared photos of her effort on the Facebook group Bluey Mums, said she was proud of how it all came together.
“I am very happy with how my vision came to fruition.Keep in mind it was like a six-month plan.
“It’s 90% DIY,” she continued.
“My favorite part was taking pictures with the ‘real’ Bluey. ”
Fellow fans were equally impressed.
“I love everything about this. Great job, mom!” said one. “You knocked it out of the park,” another agreed.
“This is unbelievable. I can see how much you love your little boy,” said the third.
However, others criticized her for going over the top and some questioned how much she spent on it.
However, her mother defended the expense by saying she wouldn’t be throwing another large party for a few years.
“I’ve received comments from my own family that I spend too much money, that my son doesn’t remember it, that this party isn’t even for him.
“But what do you know? I was so happy to see him and his guests having a great time.
