Carolyn Thomas Pratt of North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina died on January 30, 2023 in Charleston, South Carolina. She was the daughter of Dr. John Dorsey Thomas and Dr. Claudia McQueen Thomas of Loris, South Carolina.
Born in McLeod Infirmary in Florence, South Carolina on July 18, 1928, Carolyn grew up in Loris, earning her high school diploma from Loris High School in 1944 and a bachelor’s degree from Limestone College in 1948. bottom. She lost her husband of 68 years, Nollie “Buddy” Platt, and her twin brothers, Dr. John Dorsey Thomas, Jr. and Price Thomas. Surviving are her three children, Claudia Rucker and husband Marty (Johns Island, South Carolina), Stuart Pratt and wife Carol (Lexington, South Carolina), Stephanie Canti and husband Jay (Johns Island, South Carolina).
