When my daughter announced she wanted her 5th birthday to be Bluey themed, I was thrilled. Excited. This post offers tons of Bluey birthday party ideas for hosting your own celebration, including free printables, decorations, invitations, party favors, crafts, food, shirts, and more! I hope you will.
Wakadoo, it’s time to party!
To know Bluey is to love Bluey. Her one of those shows you can’t help but love for its wholesome characters and family-focused storyline, the 7-minute cartoon delivers perfect bliss. If you stumble upon this post and are unfamiliar with Bluey, stop what you’re doing and go watch an episode. Here in the US, you can find her Bluey on Disney Channel and Disney Plus, but it’s originally an Australian show. For everyone else, sit back and enjoy the celebration of the Healer family.
bluey birthday party invitation
I started by designing the party invitations myself. I mostly hand out physically printed invitations, so I designed a 5×7 invitation for his Bluey birthday party. Then I thought I’d send it digitally to everyone, so I designed a digital version as well. But no matter how you send the invitations, both options are super cute.
Unfortunately, Bluey’s birthday party invitations are no longer available on my site. Etsy shop.
bluey birthday party decorations
I stuck with orange and blue colors throughout the party, using crepe paper streamers to create a simple background for the tablescape. The table wasn’t flooded with food like at a party, but I was able to add some height variation with a small wooden riser. obsessed with
DIY blue plate
Bluey plates and cups are now available on Amazon, and Bluey is the prettiest, but I prefer to avoid cartoons on plates and use color schemes instead. To make the plates more fun, I added ears to the dinner plates and handmade stickers to the cups. (Similar to the Baby Yoda plate I made earlier.)
I used a cricut to cut out the ears for the plates, but since they are basically triangles, you can also make them by hand.
material:
- dark blue dinner plate
- light blue dessert plate
- dark blue cardboard
- tan cardboard
- double sided craft tape
- blue ear template

Cut out the outside and inside of the ears and attach them to the underside of a large dinner plate using double-sided craft tape.
I was serving finger food to my kids, so I didn’t include utensils in the table space, but clear or orange utensils would have looked nicer.
DIY Bluey Cup
For the cups, I made stickers of Bluey and Bingo. Again, I used Cricut to create the stickers. If you don’t have a Cricut, you can recreate this by cutting out the shapes by hand or using a large circular punch to cut out the letters in a circle. I love it!)
material:
- orange paper cup
- cricut seal paper

Upload your sticker to Cricut as a “print and cut” file. If you’re unfamiliar with using Print and Cut, see our previous article on Print and Cut.
Print and cut your stickers, then peel them off and stick them on your cups.
Bluey Birthday Party Food
There weren’t many guests this time, so I kept the food simple. Popcorn chicken and grapes were the birthday girl’s request. For color, I added orange ciclets and blue lollipops to make bluey and bingo popcorn.
Oh yeah, the Scooby Snack in the middle of the table in the main photo. Without thinking that it says “Scooby Snack,” I thought it was so cute because it was shaped like a bone. So I put them upside down on a plate in the middle of the table and let the kids eat them anyway.

Bluey and Bingo cupcake toppers
The birthday girl really wanted cupcakes. I love it!!!) And I made Bluey and Bingo cupcake toppers.

Once again I made cupcake toppers with cricut prints and cuts.
Bluey Birthday Party Game
One of our favorite things about Bluey is the family’s ability to turn anything into a fun game. That’s why it turns out that themed party games are a must. We recreated some of my daughter’s favorite games from the show.
- Sticky Gecko – From “Sticky Gecko”
- Bumshuffle Race – From “Baby Race”
- Dancy Party ~ from “Dance Mode”
- Keepy Uppy – from “Keepy Uppy”
- Bluey & Bingo’s BINGO (because she’s cute!?)
- Bluey iSpy
- Coloring
sticky gecko It was both a party game and a party favor. I bought all my kids their own sticky geckos to take home and make sticky gecko targets. (Yes, Bluey & Bingo threw sticky geckos at the ceiling, but I didn’t mind that, so I used contact paper to cover the target and attach it to the sliding glass door.) The game is played over and over again, with the whole party. These are the sticky geckos that I purchased. It was perfect.
for ass shuffle raceI marked the floor at one end of the room with painters tape and had the kids do a bum shuffle race to the other side.
dance party When Keepy Woopy It’s obvious if you’ve seen the episode.
of Bluey & Bingo Bingo When iSpy game print available in my Etsy shopI used white cardstock for all my printouts and printed on the back of the iSpy game and answer sheets. Coloring From Bluey.tv. That way, kids can fill in their answers at the same time as they look at the iSpy game and color it later.
As an added bonus, if you don’t know the names of all the characters, don’t worry, they are included in the iSpy game. You can look smart in front of your kids.
Bluey Birthday Party Favors
In keeping with my daughter’s love of dressing up, I made my own “real life” Bluey ears for my party guests. Like the Minnie ears I made a long time ago and the monkey ears I made for the school play, Bluey’s ears were a big hit. Easy to make, no sewing required. Hot glue only.

My daughter loves stickers and tattoos too, so I made a sticker sheet for each partygoer and temporary tattoo. These favors were also made using my girlfriend’s Cricut and are surprisingly easy to make.

Bluey Birthday Party Shirt
No one likes wearing themed outfits more than our 5 year old, so it was a must to keep the whole family themed.
I found the dress a few months before her birthday and she declared it perfect. But I found something similar and love this one too.
For the rest of the family, I designed our shirts! And made them available in my Etsy shop.
- Mum Featuring Chili Healer
- Papa Featuring Bandit Healer
- Bingo & Bluey
- #Squadgoals featuring Bluey’s best friend
Don’t worry if you can’t see your husband’s shirt in the photo. He obviously didn’t understand the assignment, but it says “Dad” along with a picture of a bandit dancing.
Bluey Birthday Party Shopping List
A big question I always get asked in party posts is where do I buy all the stuff I used. So here’s my shopping list.
