In a recent Instagram video by @nourishedbynic, registered dietitian Nicole Addison shows us how to celebrate birthdays all year round with this simple 7-ingredient recipe for making birthday cake protein balls. . According to Addison, the inspiration for this recipe came from a childhood obsession with all things birthday cake flavored. “I have always loved confetti cake. When I was a kid, I knew my mom would make me a confetti cake once a year, so I looked forward to it every year. When they were done, they sat at the counter and let me lick their spoons, and it’s still one of my favorite memories,” she says. Today, as a registered dietitian, Addison wanted to create snacks that would give adults (and kids) the same confetti cake of joy she brought her while growing up, but she wanted to be healthy and happy. It’s got a protein-packed twist.

1/2 cup cashew butter See notes
3 tablespoons honey
1 teaspoon vanilla essence
1/4 teaspoon almond essence

1/4 cup oat flour
