Now that the reality star has officially turned 21, the Zolciak-Biermann family can clearly laugh about Ariana’s DUI bust.
The younger daughter of Real Housewives of Atlanta alum Kim Zolchak celebrated turning legal drinking age with a photogenic birthday cake Monday night, just two months after her arrest .
Ariana’s older sister, 25-year-old Brielle Biermann, posted an Instagram Story video showing the birthday girl and her boyfriend Hudson McLeroy holding their respective mugshot sheets, writing, “Well, we has finally turned 21. Happy Birthday, everyone.” cake.
In a short clip, Ariana used her French-manicured fingers to lick the pink and orange frosting off the side of a personalized dessert while sporting a charming smile for the camera. McLeroy, who had become shy, shook his head jokingly.
“One day apart 🙂 I’m a cougar 🥺” Ariana wrote over the video planting a big kiss to the nearly birthday twins she’s been dating and off since the pair met in high school. rice field.
For their big day, the couple had dinner with a dozen friends at an unidentified Atlanta restaurant. Ariana’s pastel pink strapless mini dress was set on a long rectangular table. It matched the balloon attached to the chair.
Ariana and McCleroy were arrested in the early hours of August 13, 20, and have since been charged with several misdemeanors.
The “Don’t Be Late” alum was slapped on charges of DUI, improper/irregular lane changing, and possession/purchasing of alcohol by a minor. She was released from Forsyth County Jail on her $5,120 bail.
McLeroy was also charged with serving alcohol to a minor and violating the terms of his limited driver’s license, as well as a DUI.
However, Ariana’s attorney denied the charges shortly after her client’s arrest became headlines.
“Ariana was involved in a minor fender bender. Investigators immediately launched a DUI investigation when police arrived at the scene,” the attorney said in a statement to People at the time.
“Despite Ariana’s constant complaints of being shaken and anxious after a minor accident, officers incorrectly concluded that she was disfigured by alcohol. ‘ continued the lawyer. “She categorically denies these allegations and because she is innocent, she intends to fight these accusations.”
Zolciak, 44, also rushed to his daughter’s defense, reposting his attorney’s statement, claiming the “mild fender bender” had nothing to do with booze.
The former Bravo Reviti wrote via her Instagram story when Ariana “admitted to consuming marijuana the day before” the incident occurred.
“[That was] more than 24 hours prior to any contact with law enforcement,” Zolciak claimed, adding that her child had been “supportive and honest” throughout the ordeal.
Zolciak also has sons Kroy Jr., 11, and Kash, 10, and fraternal twins Kaia and Kane, 8, with husband Kroy Biermann.
