A popular way to save money on birthday parties during the warmer months is to rent a picnic shelter near a fun playground. Prices usually depend on the area and pavilion size, so a good way to save money is to look for smaller shelters in nicer parks.
runway park – Greenville’s Downtown Airport Runway Park Shelter is located right on the active runway and is popular for its airplane-themed playground. $80, $55 for a 3 hour rental Monday through Thursday.

There are also several community centers available for under $100. One reader said the Bobby Pierce Community Center was nice, with a kitchen and easy access to the playground.
McPherson Park has a beautiful mini golf course that is completely free. Grab a few friends, a putter, a ball, and enjoy the park. There are shelters available for rent. If your party is small, there is plenty of shade to spread out blankets for a birthday picnic.

I haven’t tried it personally, but Rock Springs Baptist Church Bowling Center offers birthday party packages that include pizza, drinks, two hours of bowling, and even room for $12 per person. Bringing in a birthday cake is also OK.

McDonald’s We offer party packages that include happy meals and games. Now that they have the resources, they can host a McDonald’s birthday party at home.
